I sewed a reversible vest but i’m having trouble figuring out how to do shoulder seams, Please help!
Try my tutorial for a reversible waistcoat for how I did them. Another way of doing it which I found since is called the burrito method
I ran across your site by accident, sure I will be using it in the future.
Just found your fantastic website, it’s got so much useful content, I don’t know where to start. The tutorial about troubleshooting when using the sewing machine has been a great help. I’m in my 60s and have recently bought a basic Singer Traditional machine, it’s perfect for me as I haven’t sewn for many years and it’s nice to get back into it, especially in these troubling times. BUT, I bought this new machine after convincing myself that my old machine was past its best as I couldn’t get it to sew correctly and now I’ve used your tutorial it’s working a dream, if I’d only found you earlier. Anyway thanks for a great site and keep up your fantastic work
Thank you so much for making my day with such a lovely comment. I am so happy you got your old Singer singing as she sews again!!!
Hi saw your tutorial on scuba and the other neph oops cannot remember how to spell it. Can it be used in bra making.
For me personally, it wouldn’t be my first choice just because they aren’t very breathable fabrics.
Hello, I saw your 2017 tutorial on the cloth covered buttons, I was hoping you might have more of the tools in stock.
Hi Jocelyn, I’m sure we will have them in again at some point but I’m not sure when they will be arriving.
Just retired from PE teaching after 35 years, looking forward to trying some of these projects.
Linda, Thank you for your site – I love it. I am in Western Australia so am unable to attend your shop but just love seeing your tutorials. They make everything seem so easy! I am just off to make a pin cushion for my sewing machine – such a simple idea that I can’t believe I hadn’t thought of it before. Helen
Thank you so much for leaving such a lovely comment. I really am so pleased you are enjoying the sewing tutorials so much. I hope you enjoy making your pin cushion as much as I did. Being the kind of person who leaves stuff everywhere, it was a real game-changer for me!

Wow! What a super informative site! I found you through your reusable kitchen “paper” towels tutorial and am amazed at the wealth of information you have provided here! I am planning on using several of your ideas soon. I recently got a new machine and need to break it in. Haha! Thank you!!
Thank you. That’s so kind of you. I’d love to know what you end up trying and how they turn out. Enjoy your new machine!!

Ruffles And Stuff~: Easy Ruffled T-shirt Scarf – can you give me the directions for making one for my granddaughter please? It is too cute!
Also your site is so informative. For example, the ruffle attachment. I bought mine 38 years ago so I could make dresses for my daughter, who is now 39 years old. I never used it bc it never came with any directions/instructions. No I can figure out how it attaches to the machines, how many ruffles, etc.
You are a God send! Thank you!
Hi
I’m glad your enjoying the site. I think the tutorial you are looking for is one of my favourites by a lady called Disney over at Ruffles and Stuff which can be found here – http://www.rufflesandstuff.com/2010/02/easy-ruffled-t-shirt-scarf.html
I’d love to see your take on it.
I have just discovered your sit and am so impressed with the easy to follow tutorials – and all free! Well done! I have been sewing for 46 years and am on my third machine and I never knew what the markings on the machine feet were for! Thank you.
